Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court, delivered Stanford’s 2017 Rathbun Lecture on a Meaningful Life in Memorial Church at 7p.m. on Monday evening.
According to the Stanford Report, Oprah Winfrey, a global media leader, producer, philanthropist and actress, will deliver “Harry’s Last Lecture on a Meaningful Life” at 7 p.m. on April 20 in Stanford Memorial Church.
On April 28, the Stanford Office for Religious Life hosted cartoonist Garry Trudeau as the fifth Rathbun Visiting Fellow as he delivered a “Harry’s Last Lecture on a Meaningful Life.”
Marian Wright Edelman, founder and president of the Children’s Defense Fund (CDF), delivered a lecture on the meaning of life Wednesday evening in Memorial Auditorium. As the 2011 Rathbun Visiting Fellow, Edelman shares an honor previously awarded to Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, former Secretary of State George Shultz and the Dalai Lama.
