Stanford track and field will not have to travel far for the NCAA West Preliminary Round beginning on May 24.
Six Cardinal individuals won titles at the Pac-12 Track and Field Championships hosted at Stanford this past weekend. The men’s team finished second with 125 points behind Oregon’s 174, which marks the highest men’s team place since 2003 and a sizable improvement from last year’s 10th place finish. The women finished third with 119 points, placing them behind USC and runnerup Oregon.
Stanford No. 9 women’s and No. 18 men’s track and field will host the 23rd annual Payton Jordan Invitational this Thursday at Angell Field, concluding the regular outdoor season in their third and most competitive home meet of the year. In one of the most highly anticipated domestic invitationals, athletes from dozens of schools across the country will compete alongside former Olympians and NCAA titleholders to prove their mettle ahead of championship play.
This weekend, Stanford men’s and women’s track and field will host their third annual Cardinal Classic, a two-day meet which features college track stars from 15 different participating schools. The action will start on Friday at noon with field events, on Cobb Track and Angell field.

Producing a combined 11 first-team All-Americans, Stanford men’s and women’s track and field team competed at the NCAA Indoor Championships at Texas A&M on Friday and Saturday.
The men’s and women’s track and field team will head to Ann Arbor, Michigan, this weekend to compete at the Power Five Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan on a 200-meter banked track. According to USTFCCCA rankings, the men’s team is ranked 14th and the women 16th.
The Stanford men’s and women’s track and field teams will begin their indoor season this Saturday at the University of Washington Indoor Preview in Seattle, Washington. According to preseason rankings released Wednesday, the men’s team is ranked 12th and the women’s team is 16th.
