ASSU President Vianna Vo ’21 said she has been much busier than in past summers. She and her fellow ASSU members have been meeting virtually biweekly over the summer to work towards fighting racial injustice and injustice against international students, as well as focusing on queer student issues and economic issues.
COVID-19 has altered life for residential fellows (RFs), who are used to living close to dozens of students and contributing to their residential community life, in many ways. RFs recounted the impact of COVID-19 on their experiences and the preparation that they’re taking for the fall quarter.
The rollercoaster of decisions put international students through the wringer, and while undergraduate international students received only a few assurances, graduate and medical students received even fewer. The Daily interviewed four of these students for their reactions to the policy.
