Police Blotter: Sexual battery, stalking, bike theft

This report covers a selection of incidents from Dec. 23 to Jan. 15 as recorded in the Stanford University Department of Public Safety (SUDPS) bulletin. 

Tuesday, Dec. 23

  • After 5:10 p.m., an act of battery occurred on 103 Blackwelder Court. An adult arrest was made.

Friday, Dec. 25

  • At an unknown time, non-criminal hate violence took place at Lyman Graduate Building 3.

Sunday, Dec. 27

  • Between 2:00 p.m. on Dec. 24 and 2:52 p.m., a bike was stolen from Escondido Village Building D.
  • Between 8 a.m. on Dec. 24 and 5 p.m., a bike was stolen from Escondido Village Studio 3.

Tuesday, Dec. 29

  • Between Jul. 15 and Dec. 29, annoying phone calls were made to Lucille Nixon Elementary School.

Saturday, Jan. 2

  • At 2 a.m., a person attempted to burgle a residence at 940 Valdez Place.
  • At 1 p.m., a bike was stolen from a residence at 904 Lathrop Place.

Sunday, Jan. 3

  • At 5:50 p.m., a person was caught driving without a license between Arboretum Road and Palm Drive.
  • At 6:10 p.m., a bike was stolen from a residence at 850 Cedro Way.

Monday, Jan. 4

  • Between 5 p.m. on Dec. 18 and 8 a.m., a vehicle was stolen from Stanford Surplus Sales.

Tuesday, Jan. 5

  • At 7:42 p.m., a hit-and-run collision damaged property at the 600 block of Salvatierra Street.

Thursday, Jan. 7

  • Between 7:30 and 8 p.m., a bike was stolen from the Campus Bike Shop.
  • At 9:50 p.m., sexual battery of an unrestrained victim occured at Beckman Center.

Friday, Jan. 8

  • Between 12:01 a.m. on Jan. 7 and 12:01 a.m., property was stolen from a vehicle at the 200 block of Olmsted Road.
  • At 2:24 p.m., a person was found in possession of controlled substances and controlled substance paraphernalia between Campus Drive and Constanzo Street.
  • Between 6:15 p.m. on Jan. 6 and Jan. 8, $950 in goods were obtained illegally from Ricker dining center.

Saturday, Jan. 9

  • Between 3 p.m. on Jan. 7 and 10:45 a.m., a bike was stolen from Escondido Village Building B.

Sunday, Jan. 10

  • Between 1 p.m. on Jan. 9 and 12 p.m., a bike was stolen from Mirrielees Highrise.
  • Between 12:01 a.m. on Jan. 7 and 8:45 a.m., stalking was reported at Escondido Village Building A.

Monday, Jan. 11

  • Between 11 a.m. on Jan. 6 and 8:45 a.m., over $950 in property was stolen from a vehicle in Lot 97 of the Varsity Lot.

Wednesday, Jan. 13

  • Between 7:45 and 10:40 a.m., an act of battery occurred between Campus Drive and Quarry Road.

Friday, Jan. 15

  • At an unspecified time, burglary of a vehicle occurred at an unknown location.
