Amack again was part of a stout back line for a Cardinal team that continued its dominant start, shutting out its opponents for a school-record eighth and ninth times in a row in its two matches over the weekend. Stanford also set a new school record with its streak of 852:12 without having allowed a goal, which broke the previous mark set in the 2002-03 season.

The sophomore contributed a goal and an assist on Friday in the Cardinal’s 3-0 victory over Santa Clara while also getting off four shots. She also played in all 90 minutes of Stanford’s 2-0 win over Cal Poly on Sunday.

Amack was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman team last season after she scored one goal and notched an assist in 17 appearances, 14 of which she started. She is fourth on the team with 703 minutes played so far this season.

This marks the second week in a row in which a Stanford player has earned the honor after fifth-year senior defender Kendall Romine did so last week. Stanford will open its conference schedule against Utah on Friday.
