The 2012-2013 ASSU Executive cabinet will be significantly smaller and cost less money, according to incoming ASSU President Robbie Zimbroff ’12.
After five weeks in office, ASSU President Robbie Zimbroff ’12 and Vice President William Wagstaff ’12 have yet to make cabinet staffing decisions. According to Zimbroff, the two have been working on completing administrative tasks and will begin tackling larger initiatives during the summer.
Following a report commissioned earlier this year, the ASSU assembled a working group to review use of student union spaces. The group has since launched several initiatives to repurpose spaces in Old Union and surrounding buildings and has encouraged further use of union spaces.

With our gaze fixated on the spectacular explosions and scintillating gossip emitted by what somehow managed to be simultaneously the least competitive and most bitter electoral campaign in recent memory, I think we may be overlooking a more important but less visible story: the story of the deep malaise that has gradually infiltrated politics on this campus.
