Bill urges change to attendance policy

The ASSU Undergraduate Senate unanimously passed the Calling for Action to Restore Decency and Equality in Non-accessible Language Courses (CARDINAL) Act Tuesday. The bill urges the Language Center to take immediate action in revising its attendance policy, which deducts two percentage points from a student’s final grade for every absence, regardless of the justification for missing class.

OrgSync replaces MyGroups

Next week Stanford is switching applications for the management of the more than 650 student groups and organizations on campus, moving from a system called MyGroups to a different system, titled OrgSync.

ASSU ethics reforms pitched

Last night’s Senate ethics discussion followed a flurry of proposed changes that made the rounds on the group’s public e-mail list last month, prompting a rare response from head of Student Activities and Leadership Nanci Howe as the group broke for finals.
