Jake Kneller is the lone senior on this year’s men’s volleyball team. Gone are All-Americans Brad Lawson and Erij Shoji, along with the rest of the class of 2012 that set a school record with 86 wins in four seasons. A co-captain with junior Brian Cook, Kneller sat down with The Daily to discuss the volleyball squad’s musical tastes and all things Stanford.
A redshirt senior in his final season on the Farm, center Sam Schwartzstein is known as one of Stanford’s most vocal leaders on and off the field. A preseason candidate for the Rimington Trophy as the nation’s top collegiate center, Schwartzstein came into his own last year as a first-year starter when the Cardinal offensive line helped Andrew Luck lead the Pac-12 in passing efficiency and completion percentage along with school records for single-season touchdown passes. Schwartzstein sat with The Daily to use his unique perspective as one of five fifth-year seniors on the roster to talk all things Big Game and Stanford football.

Redshirt junior quarterback Josh Nunes became the second Stanford player in 2012 to be named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, earning the distinction Monday after he brought the No. 17 Cardinal back from a two-touchdown deficit in the fourth quarter of its win against Arizona.
