No. 7 Stanford women’s soccer (13-3-1, 6-3-0 Pac-12) held off Washington (7-7-4, 3-2-4) in Seattle 1-0 on Thursday night, benefiting from junior Lo’eau LaBonta’s fourth goal of the season and six saves by goalie Jane Campbell.
LaBonta’s 44th-minute tally was all the Cardinal needed for its third 1-0 win of 2013. The Cardinal now travels to Washington State for an 11 a.m. Sunday showdown as it looks to improve its seeding in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.
Currently, in the state of California, transgender students’ rights are in contention. It is our responsibility as community members to become educated about transgender issues.
