In the final two regular season games, No. 20 Stanford beach volleyball suffered back-to-back defeats to No. 7 Cal Poly, and rival No. 11 California at home on Saturday.
This Saturday and Sunday, No. 17 Stanford beach volleyball (8-10, 2-1 Pac-12) will host four teams for the Pac-12 North Beach Volleyball Invitational. The lineup is looking deadly; No. 12 Cal (14-3, 3-1 Pac-12), No. 1 UCLA (23-0, 1-0 Pac-12), No. 2 USC (16-4, 0-0 Pac-12) and Washington (6-6, 1-2 Pac-12) are set to compete over the weekend.
No. 13 beach volleyball (2-5, 2-0 Pac-12) opens its first home stand of the year with a full weekend.
No. 11 beach volleyball (0-4) faced a tough start to their season last weekend, dropping all four of its matches in the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic. The team had as hard a starting lineup as anyone — facing No. 1 UCLA (5-0), No. 4 Pepperdine (3-1), No. 5 Hawai’i (2-2) and Saint Mary’s (1-3)
