Men’s golf: to the ‘ships!

No. 4 Stanford Mens golf team protected its home turf the past three days, tying for first of 13 in the NCAA Regionals at the par-70 Stanford University Golf Course. The Cardinal easily placed within the top five, as necessary to advance to Rich Harvest Hills in Sugar Grove, Illinois for the NCAA Championship May 26-31. The Cardinal placed all five of their players in the top-20, including three in the top-5, in the 73 person field.

Men’s golf takes second at Western Intercollegiate

No. 14 Stanford men’s golf made the short drive down to Santa Cruz over this Masters weekend for the 71st annual Western Intercollegiate, hosted by San Jose State at Pasatiempo Golf Club. It was the team’s first competition since its first win of the season at the Goodwin last weekend over top-ranked USC. The Cardinal couldn’t quite find the same magic, but took home a distant second place, trailing only the Trojans in the fifteen team field.

Men’s golf earns first win of season behind record-breaking performance from McNealy
