The President’s State of the Union address and the reactions to it have highlighted the absence of a national agreement on the appropriate role for the government to play in improving the lives of our citizens and, more importantly, the lives of our children and grandchildren. I don’t know anyone who does not want our nation to be GREAT!

Invest in green business, not a blue Congress

The environmental community just invested more money in politics than it ever has before–just shy of $100 million, all told–and it didn’t work. Local billionaire and Stanford grad Tom Steyer dumped about $70 million of his own money trying to get environmentally conscientious candidates elected, but a mere one out of every three of the candidates he supported won.
