On a three-match winning streak heading into its road trip, No. 7 Stanford men’s volleyball (6-4, 3-2 MPSF) lost back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday. The Cardinal dropped their Friday match against No. 14 CSUN (9-3, 2-3) 31-29, 25-16, 25-18 and were swept again less than 24 hours later by No. 3 Long Beach State (9-2, 5-1) 30-28, 25-14, 25-18.
No. 10 Stanford men’s volleyball (4-2, 1-0 MPSF) opened up conference play with a 3-1 (29-27, 25-16, 13-25, 26-24) win against No. 7 Pepperdine (2-2, 0-1 MPSF) on Friday in Malibu, CA.
No. 10 Stanford men’s volleyball (3-2) was edged out in two consecutive matches against No. 1 Ohio State (5-0) this past weekend at Stanford. The defending national champion Buckeyes took both matches in a two-day doubleheader by scores of 3-0, dominating both games.
After going undefeated in a tournament at UCSB last weekend, No. 10 Stanford men’s volleyball (3-0) will open regular season play at home, with a pair of matches against defending national champion No. 1 Ohio State (3-0) on Friday and Saturday.
No. 9 Stanford men’s volleyball (3-0) started the season strong, going undefeated in three matches at the UCSB Asics Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The Cardinal notched wins against Mount Olive (0-3) and Quincy (0-2) on Friday before closing out Saturday with a sweep of McKendree (0-4).
