Situated behind the Gates Computer Science Building in what will soon become the science quad, the newly constructed Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Biology Research Building is positioning itself to pave the future of science, pushing for broader, more interdisciplinary research.
Approximately one third of Stanford’s campus lost power at about 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, potentially as the result of an incident at an on-campus construction site. Approximately 55 buildings were initially affected, though some were left without power longer than others.
With 703 undergraduates as of fall 2017, the computer science department has the greatest number of students of any department at Stanford. With increasing size, however, comes new challenges, such as providing support in introductory and upper-level classes and fostering relationships with professors.
