Bina Patel is in her first year as the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) director. The Daily reached out to Patel via email regarding her goals as director, including implementing new CAPS programs and increasing outreach to students.
On Aug. 15, the Green Earth Sciences Building introduced the University’s first multi-occupancy, all-gender restrooms to be in a academic or administrative building. This is a departure from the University’s prior practice of converting only single-stall public restrooms into gender-inclusive spaces, as required by California state legislation Assembly Bill (AB) 1732 since Mar. 1, 2017.
With 12,000 meals being served every day at 11 different on-campus dining halls, there is an immense amount of food that flows through the Stanford dining hall kitchens and into students’ stomachs on a daily basis. Although some amount of food waste is impossible to avoid, the dining halls do their best to limit the impact of their leftovers.
