It was a tumultuous day for many when Stanford students suddenly received in their inbox a letter from President Hennessy and Provost Etchemendy on a new initiative named “OpenXChange.”
The paper is the best resource on campus to get ideas out there, but the state of campus conversation lives and dies with each of us and the choice to share your voice and seek to learn. It’s time we accept that responsibility.
People do not violently resist because they enjoy violence or are inherently criminal – they do so because they hold life sacred. It is then those who condemn this form of resistance that hold life in contempt.
