No. 2 women’s soccer (14-1-0, 7-0-0 Pac-12) overwhelmed Colorado (10-5-1, 2-4-1 Pac-12) with three second-half goals in a 4-0 victory in Boulder, CO. Four different Cardinal players found the back of the net, but it was junior forward Catarina Macario’s first-half penalty score that will go down in the history books.
After a convincing five-goal shootout against Oregon last Sunday, No. 2 Stanford women’s soccer (12-1, 5-0 Pac-12) returns home to take on in-conference rival, No. 16 UCLA (9-3-1, 3-2 Pac-12), at Cagan Stadium on October 19th.
No. 2 women’s soccer travelled to Oregon (4-4-5, 0-3-2 Pac-12) and came away with a dominant 5-0 victory. Not only are the Cardinal undefeated in conference play, but the team holds a 19-2 goal differential against Pac-12 teams.

It was back-and-forth early, but Catarina Macario’s free kick goal in the 77th minute squashed the chances of upstart Santa Clara on Sunday evening. With the score locked at two, the junior midfielder floated a ball into the back of the net, and keeper Courtney Ogren could do nothing but watch.
