Women’s swimming and diving preps for season opener against Arkansas

This Saturday at noon, No. 1 Stanford women’s swimming and diving (0-0, 0-0 Pac-12) is set to take on Arkansas (1-0, 0-0 SEC) at Avery Aquatic Center for the opening meet of the season. Stanford swimming is riding on a long winning streak; their last duel meet loss was in 2015 and their last loss at home was in 2014. As the three-time defending national champions, the Cardinal has a big reputation to live up to.

Swimming sets meet records at Ohio State Invitational

On Sunday, the women’s swimming and diving team returned to the Farm from their successful campaign at the Ohio State University Invitational. The Cardinal (2-0, Pac-12 2-0) are ranked second in the nation, and they proved it with a convincing win over ten other schools. Through 21 events Stanford accumulated 2499 points to best No. 13 Notre Dame, who had 2011.5 points, and No. 18 Kentucky at 1898 points.
