Cardinal slated to kick off MPSF Tournament against UC-Irvine

The No. 3 Stanford men’s volleyball team will head into Saturday with all of the momentum in the world on its side, as it has dominated as of late en route to its current 11-match winning streak. Next, the Cardinal (20-7, 17-7 MPSF) will look to carry that momentum through into the postseason as they will host No. 6 UC-Irvine (18-10, 15-9) in an MPSF Tournament quarterfinal match this Saturday at Maples Pavilion. Stanford is seeded third in the eight-team tournament and therefore has the home-court advantage over the sixth-seeded Anteaters.

Volleyball carries nine-game win streak into final road trip

Stanford men’s volleyball will take to the road this weekend to play their last two matches of the regular season in Southern California. The No. 4 Cardinal (18-7, 15-7 MPSF) have already secured a spot in the MPSF Tournament, so the team knows these will not be its last matches of the season. However, these last games will decide where the Cardinal will be ranked in conference heading into the conference tournament.

Men’s volleyball dismantles Cal Baptist on Senior Night for ninth straight win

Stanford men’s volleyball earned a berth in the MPSF Tournament this weekend on its Senior Night after winning its ninth straight match. The No. 4 Cardinal (18-7, 15-7 MPSF) are now tied for third in conference after sweeping Cal Baptist and Pacific at home to close out its home schedule. Not only has Stanford now clinched its seventh straight appearance in the MPSF Tournament, but it is proving to the country that it should be one of the teams to beat moving forward into the postseason.
