A week after hosting the fourth annual Cardinal Classic, Stanford track and field heads to Fayetteville, Arkansas for the National Relay Championships Friday to Sunday. While the distance crew takes a break this week, Stanford will be represented by several of its top performers in the sprints and field events.
At the 44th annual Stanford Invitational on Friday and Saturday, senior Mackenzie Little broke a 10-year old meet record in the javelin, while sophomores Ashlan Best and Aria Small set personal bests in sprints and triple jump, respectively.
Stanford’s men’s and women’s track and field teams broke multiple records this past weekend at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Championships in Seattle, WA, as the Cardinal sought last chance bids to the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on March 8-9 in Birmingham, AL.
Several athletes represented the men’s and women’s track and field teams this weekend at the Alex Wilson Invitational in Indiana and the Air Force Collegiate Open in Colorado.
The track and field team travel to Indiana this weekend for the Alex Wilson Invitational at Notre Dame. With most of the team staying behind on the farm, only a select few athletes will represent the Cardinal as they compete for qualifying standards to the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Birmingham, AL, March 8-9.
The Cardinal will surely have an exciting weekend as the men’s and women’s track and field team heads to Seattle in full force for the University of Washington (UW) Invitational.
