Undefeated men’s wrestling hosts Cal Baptist

Stanford men’s wrestling (5-0, 0-0 Pac-12) hosts California Baptist (1-2) at the Burnham Pavilion & Ford Center today for an evening dual meet. This is the first season that the Lancers have competed as a D1 program, and the team has understandably hit some road bumps along the way after competing against some of the best programs in the nation. Meanwhile, the Cardinal have experienced an incredibly successful season so far with a spotless dual record and stellar individual performances across every weight class.

Cardinal wrestlers post dominating performance at Roadrunner Open

No. 21 Stanford wrestling (1-0, 0-0 Pac-12) took a day-trip to CSU Bakersfield (3-3, 0-0 Pac-12) this past Sunday for the Roadrunner Open, where 13 out of 18 Cardinal wrestlers placed. Sophomore Dominick Mandarino and freshman Shane Griffith also took the top spots in the 157-pound and 165-pound weight classes, respectively. For comparison, only six Cardinal placed and no Cardinal won a 1st-place title at last year’s tournament.
