Amid all the turmoil wrought by the COVID-19 pandemic, we at The Daily are offering a new way for you to use our platform to support local businesses. Your favorite hidden coffee spot on Cal Ave? That ice cream shop you and your S.O. visited on your first date in downtown Palo Alto? “Adopt a Small Business” is a way for you to help support those local businesses AND local journalism by donating advertising space to your favorite Bay Area small businesses.
As more and more places open up, it’s important to get the word out. Help your favorite local spots let customers know they’re open by purchasing highly discounted advertising for them in The Stanford Daily!
How it works:
Simply purchase any number of “Adopt a Small Business” packages below, and you’ll be taken to PayPal where you can submit your payment. We will contact you so you can let us know which business(es) to support, and we will then contact the business(es) on your behalf to work out all the advertising logistics.
The impact you’ll have:
Regardless of which package you choose, you’ll be helping a local business reach a massive audience of Stanford and Bay Area affiliates:
- Our website attracts more than 300,000 unique monthly visitors and more than 450,000 monthly page views!
- Our email digest reaches more than 40,000 Stanford subscribers (undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, staff, alumni) and averages a 30% open rate, compared to the media industry average of 23%!
P.S. We owe a massive thank-you to our friends at Gambit in New Orleans for this amazing program idea. If you live in the New Orleans area and are interested in donating ad space to a local business there, visit the Gambit site at https://www.nola.com/gambit/commit_change/adopt_a_small_business/.
