9 ridiculously cute Zoom backgrounds to put a smile on anyone’s face

It’s Week 4 of spring quarter. If you’re like me, virtual classes have been weird. Between professors not knowing how to share their screen, awkward breakout rooms and the occasional shot of someone going to the bathroom, it’s definitely not the ideal learning environment. So, to help ease the transition to virtual learning, we put together a list of super fun zoom backgrounds to put a smile on anyone’s face!

“Central Perk” from “Friends

We’ve all binged “Friends,” and now you can relive the show with this adorable background depicting the fictional coffee house Central Perk. Show all your classmates that you’ve been hanging with Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross!

90s Abstract Art

Look how fun this one is! The colorful pattern of shapes, lines and dots evokes nostalgia for the ’90s. Did any of us grow up in the ’90s? Not really, but that’s okay! It’s fun!

World War I

The Great War began in 1914 after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo, leading to the mobilization of more than 70 million military personnel. Surely your classmates will appreciate a background of you and the boys hanging in the trenches. Oh, what fun!

Puppy posing with human object

Aw, how cute! Doesn’t your heart just melt looking at this adorable puppy posing with a human object? It even looks like the puppy is almost smiling. I bet it’s thinking, “I love you.” Adorable!

Flowers

What a beautiful landscape! The flowers, the golden sun piercing through the clouds, rural America — this background offers soothing serenity in a time of great uncertainty. It’s the perfect message to express to your virtual classmates.

Chernobyl fallout

Speaking of serenity, remember the 1986 nuclear disaster at the Chernobyl power plant in Ukranian SSR? It was one of only two nuclear energy disasters given a seven — the maximum — on the International Nuclear Event Scale.

It seems like just yesterday we were all jamming with LSJUMB at football games! Hopefully this background helps us remember all those good times. Friends, we’ll be back in due time. For now, use this background to bring some great memories to Zoom.

Ice cream

I scream! You scream! We all scream for ice cream! Don’t you look at this photo and just crave summer? What a delicious background! We know it’s only spring, but I hope this fun background can bring everyone a taste of summer while we shelter in place.

#ReopenAmerica. Often in times of crisis, big government overreaches. They go too far. Here’s our little way of reminding everyone to push back. Don’t let them take away our guns or make us get vaccinated. Civil liberties, people! We can’t forget! #JesusIsMyHealthInsurance
