Police blotter: May 15 – 21

This report covers a selection of incidents from May 15 to May 21 as recorded in the Stanford Department of Public Safety (SUDPS) bulletin.

Tuesday, May 15

  • At 3:45 p.m., someone vandalized the Anderson Gallery at the McMurtry Building with graffiti.
  • Between 6 and 7:15 p.m., a bike was stolen from outside Old Union.
  • Around 7 p.m., a license plate was stolen from Wilbur Field Garage.
  • At 7:57 p.m., someone accidentally called the fire department to report a dumpster fire at Granada at Lagunita Court.

Wednesday, May 16

  • At 7:20 p.m., authorities confiscated a knife at the corner of Santa Teresa Street and Lomita Drive.
  • Between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m. on May 17, a bike was stolen from Schiff in Sterling Quad.
  • Between 9:40 p.m., and 8:30 a.m. on May 17, a bike was stolen from Lantana in Casper Quad.

Thursday, May 17

  • Between 3 and 10:30 a.m., a wallet was stolen from Cardenal in Florence Moore Hall.
  • At 4:02 p.m., someone was arrested for trespassing at 503 Olmsted Road.
  • At 11 p.m., a noise complaint was made about 717 Dolores Street.

Friday, May 18

  • Between 10:30 and 11 a.m., a wallet was stolen from Cagan Stadium.
  • At 12 a.m., someone was arrested for being a minor in possession of alcohol at the corner of O’Connor Lane and Nathan Abbott Way.
  • At 12:15 a.m., a noise complaint was made about Kappa Sigma.
  • At 2:45 a.m., someone was arrested for driving without a license on Stanford Avenue and Raimundo Way.
  • At 10:15 a.m., someone was arrested for being a minor in possession of alcohol at Lasuen House.

Saturday, May 19

  • At 1:12 a.m., a noise complaint was made about 576 Alvarado Row.
  • Between 1:30 and 11:30 a.m., a bike was stolen from Delta Delta Delta.
  • At 11:42 p.m., a noise complaint was made about Abrams in Escondido Village.

Sunday, May 20

  • At 12:20 p.m., a noise complaint was made about the Law School.
  • At 1:27 p.m., someone accidentally called the fire department from the Bookstore.
  • Between 11:00 and 11:15 p.m., a noise complaint was made about the Graduate Community Center.

Monday, May 21

  • Between 8:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m., a bike was stolen from the Gunn Building in the Graduate School of Business.
  • At 11:40 a.m., someone smashed the window and stole items from a vehicle at Palm Oval.
  • At 10 a.m., two vehicles collided on Campus Drive and Arguello Way. No one was injured.

There were no alcohol transports reported in the SUDPS bulletin between May 15 and May 21.
