Stanford Federal Credit Union building undergoes remodeling

The Stanford Federal Credit Union (FCU), located on Pampas Lane, will begin remodeling its building this month; the process is expected to end in the fall.

According to a recent press release from Stanford FCU, the new design will help accommodate the numerous members by providing a clear, modern and comfortable work space. In addition, the FCU will include a private member advisor workstation, touchscreen technology for easy access to the federal union’s general information and rates and much more.

Founded in 1959, the FCU is a multi-billion dollar company that provides service to over 50,000 members, including faculty, volunteers and students at Stanford and local organizations. The not-for-profit credit union has also helped to support several of the educational programs, health and human services and arts and culture events in the Stanford community.

During the remodeling, a temporary service branch of the union will be open in the Pampas parking lot during regular business hours. This will allow walk-up ATM access during construction.

“We’re very excited to get this branch remodel underway, as it will enable the credit union to deliver a more comfortable, more contemporary and more private banking experience for our members,” said Joan Opp, Stanford FCU’s President and CEO, in the press release. “Now that the credit union’s rebranding has been completed, we can begin to focus on refreshing our branch assets.”
