According to a statement provided to The Daily by Vice Provost Greg Boardman, the Office of Student Affairs has not yet made an official decision to discontinue support for Full Moon on the Quad. Boardman’s email to ASSU Vice President Brandon Hill was meant to foster initial discussion within the Senate, rather than serve as a public announcement, Boardman said.
The Office of Student Affairs is seeking a full range of opinions from student leaders in particular, including those opposed to Full Moon on the Quad. However, the Senate opined in their own capacity that “the office is leaning strongly towards a decision against Full Moon on the Quad,” and that efforts to reach out to students were meant to “soften the blow.”
