Following its successful sweep in the desert of Arizona and No. 14 Arizona State last weekend, No. 4 Stanford women’s basketball will welcome two familiar in-state foes to its home court this weekend, as Stanford’s two conference Southern California foes — the UCLA Bruins and the USC Trojans — will come to Maples this weekend to take on the Cardinal Friday and Monday, respectively.
The Stanford women’s basketball team returned to the top of the Pac-12 conference table with a 75-49 rout of UCLA on Friday night. It now lies in a four-way tie with California, USC and the Bruins, all with a record of 4-1.
The No. 6/6 Card (15-2, 4-1 Pac-12) now joins the No. 7/7 Golden Bears (14-2, 4-1 Pac-12), the No. 14/15 Bruins (13-3, 4-1 Pac-12) and the Trojans (7-9, 4-1 Pac-12) in a four-way tie for top spot.
The Stanford women’s basketball team came through a tight first half at lunchtime yesterday to soundly defeat UCLA 82-59 and finish up a home sweep of the Southern California schools.
