Campus crime figures for the 2011-12 academic year show little overall divergence from previous years, according to data compiled by the Stanford University Department of Public Safety (SUDPS). Alcohol-related incidents, however, did increase by a significant margin.
Bill Larson, spokesman for the Stanford Department of Public Safety (SUDPS), confirmed that the Stanford police department has recently increased its efforts regarding bicycle safety and education in an effort to reduce the number of collisions on campus.
More than one month after the Occupy protests spread to the West Coast, members of the Stanford community continue to be actively involved with the movement. Students, staff and faculty have maintained the “Occupy Stanford” movement while also developing an “Occupy the Future” initiative in hopes of mobilizing the broader University community.
