This weekend, the Stanford women’s gymnastics team will head to the NCAA Championships in Los Angeles as the No. 9 seed. Last season the Cardinal turned a No. 10 seeding into a top-four finish.
The women’s gymnastics team has not competed since its fourth place finish at the Pac-12 Championships on March 23, which marked the 13th year in a row that Stanford finished fourth or better at the conference championships. At the meet, the Cardinal faced an early deficit but finished strong due to a couple of standout individual performances.

Lead by senior Ashley Morgan, Stanford women’s gymnastics impressed against Arizona State to sweep all four events, taking not just the team victory, but having a different Cardinal athlete coming in first in each.
