Starting on Sept. 27, The Daily will print a tabloid Weekender bringing together the best of our journalism. Every Friday, The Weekender turns the spotlight on one campus issue and combines our coverage with expanded sports, opinions and a re-imagined arts section. The tabloid format also gives us the much-needed flexibility to showcase our media section: student work in photo, video and graphics.
Rags to Roses
It was 6 a.m. the morning after the Orange Bowl victory. Andrew Luck, after staying up and celebrating the entire night, sat in the hot tub at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach Hotel with about a dozen of his teammates. Right then and there, Luck told them that he was returning to Stanford for his senior season.
Much is changing this summer as we develop exciting new products for The Stanford Daily. First amongst these changes is the cessation of printing The Daily summer weekly edition. We will continue to publish content on our website, www.stanforddaily.com.

There was no proof that Harbaugh’s model would work, no tangible evidence that a football team with a reputation as soft would become one of the toughest in the country. But that didn’t stop the players in his locker room from latching on.
The 36-10 loss to Washington State put Stanford at 0-4 and changed the question from, “Will Stanford make a bowl?” to, “Can this team win a game?” And that’s when Harris lost the team.
