The 2011 season ended on a bitter note for the No. 4 men’s water polo team this past weekend in Los Angeles, marked by another top squad’s unsuccessful campaign to bring a national championship home to the Farm.
The Stanford men’s water polo team will return to Southern California this weekend for a pair of top-10 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) matchups. The Cardinal will face Long Beach State at noon on Saturday and UC-Irvine at noon on Sunday.
The Stanford men’s water polo team will face USC this Saturday in a crucial Mountain Pacific Sports Federation matchup. The result will go a long way toward determining whether or not Stanford will eventually secure an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Stanford men’s water polo, fresh off of its first place finish at the SoCal Tournament last week, hopes to carry that momentum into conference play this weekend in an MPSF conference that includes the eight of the top-ranked teams in the country.
