On a cold Friday night at Cagan Stadium, the No. 1 women’s soccer team heated up quickly. Seven minutes into the game, sophomore midfielder Alex Doll opened the scoring and from that point on, the Cardinal (18-1-1) never looked back on its way to a 3-0 win over Idaho State in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
It didn’t take long for the No. 1 Stanford women’s soccer team to ruin Cal’s Senior Day. Less than four minutes into the game, the Cardinal (17-1-1, 11-0-0 Pac-12) took the lead and then held on the rest of the way to finish the regular season with a 1-0 victory over the Bears.
The Stanford women’s soccer team routed Oregon State 5-1 at home Thursday night to take the early lead in the Pac-12 conference and extend its unbeaten run at home to 60 games.
