I do not like Notre Dame for many, many reasons, but I hope that Manti Te’o comes out today for his press conference and stares at the sea of reporters, all salivating over a chance to tear Notre Dame’s fallen star to shreds, and tells them to shove it.
The news that Manti Te’o's “girlfriend,” Lennay Kekua, did not actually exist, first reported by Deadspin, shook the sports world today. After the news broke, Notre Dame and Manti Te’o both put out statements to explain the situation from their sides.
Manti Te’o's alleged girlfriend, who supposedly died of leukemia six hours after Te’o's grandmother passed away, is revealed to be a hoax. Lennay Kekua was supposed to have attended Stanford University and met him on campus after a game in 2009.
