When Stanford’s No. 13 men’s and No. 20 women’s cross country teams head to Louisville, Colo., for the Pac-12 Championships this weekend, they will be going up against some of the stiffest competition in the nation in a meet that features a field including four top-30 ranked men’s teams and six top-30 women’s teams.
Stanford cross country will host its only home meet of the season at the Stanford Golf Course for the 40th annual Stanford Invitational on Saturday morning. Almost 2,800 of the West Coast’s best high school runners and over 500 collegiate runners will compete in 14 races throughout the morning.

This weekend the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Championship starts off its 21st year of competition, but more importantly, this weekend marks an opportunity for the Stanford women’s track and field team to bring home its ninth MPSF title.
