The Fresh Set: Reade Levinson

Hark back to the bygone warmer days of October, and of the memories that trickle out of the foggy haze of pre-Thanksgiving languor. There should, hopefully, be a few of the Big Game. And if it’s not too much of a challenge, try to remember what made the 115th Big Game so special. And of course, it was freshman Reade Levinson’s genius, if a little gruesome, Beat Cal poster representing Stanford.

Wiley Webb has been going to electronic dance music (EDM) festivals since he was 15. He has produced music for nearly four years and just a few weeks ago, he played at Ruby Skye with the likes of 3lau. He has even hung out with Ferry Corsten backstage. All of this, mind you, before completing his first year at Stanford.

Freshman ’15: The ski trip from hell

But, if forced to decide, I would say ski trip has been the best experience of my year thus far. For two days, my dormmates and our fabulous RAs spent time relaxing in the beautiful mountains of Lake Tahoe. It was a perfectly peaceful weekend – full of fuzzy ski socks, hot chocolate, skiing and plenty of naps.

Oh wait, did I say it was relaxing? I’m sorry, I meant crazy as hell.

Over the next several weeks, class of 2015, you will be bombarded by new names, faces and Facebook friends, all spanning a wide range of ethnic, socioeconomic, geographic and cultural backgrounds.
