Stanford Hospitals and Clinics (SHC)’s recent decision to implement job cuts and offload services to an external contractor has prompted allegations of negligence and worker abuse from community members.
With a new, 823,000-square-foot Stanford Hospital, which will be partially funded by a recently announced $1 billion fundraising campaign, Stanford Medicine aims to connect “science and humanity in a caring and dignified manner,” according to School of Medicine Dean Philip Pizzo.
Amir Dan Rubin is set to become president and chief executive of Stanford Hospital & Clinics on Jan. 3, the hospital board of directors announced on Friday.
