While the saga of punishing a select few members of the band, and the restrictions on the bands activities continue, those of us who don't have tenure on the farm, i.e. students, pass through our time here without enjoying the rich college traditions of the LSJUMB. I remember as a kid the LSJUMB used to have zany and fun half-time shows complete with an announcer that proferred cheeky and witty commentary. However, with each crushing loss and castrated band performance, both memory personal and institutional of the great traditions fade. A few members of the band messed up, and they still have unfinished business with the Office of Judicial Affairs. However, the majority of the band did not mess up and what is more is that the student body of Stanford did not mess up either. Therefore, it is wrong to take away their band, it's wrong to extingish spirit, it is wrong to punish the students. The incident was a long time ago now. Let us move on. Let us salvage one saving grace from this season as much for the LSJUMB as for all Stanford Students. LET THE BAND PERFORM JUST ONE UNFETTERED HALF-TIME SHOW AGAINST CAL. This will be the last Big Game for a lot of us, let's do it right!

Dominic could not have said it better. We need all the help we can get at Big Game, *including* The Band! It is ridiculous to have the student body suffering this way.
