Despite starting off the tournament in strong fashion and maintaining a top-five position going into Saturday’s final round, the No. 10 Stanford men’s golf team saw its season come to a disappointing finish at the NCAA Columbus Regional. It is the second time in three years that the Cardinal has failed to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
The No. 10 Stanford men’s golf team got off to the successful start it hoped for in the opening round of the NCAA Columbus Regional on Thursday, shooting a combined 7-over 291 to finish the day third in the 13-team field. Individually, junior Cameron Wilson led the Cardinal with a two-birdie, 1-under-par 70 to put him in a four-way tie for fourth.

No. 1 California repeated as Pac-12 champions — beating out No. 5 UCLA and No. 6 Washington — while the No. 8 Stanford men’s golf team inched ahead of Arizona State for fourth. The Cardinal improved on its sixth place finish a year ago but extended its winless streak at the conference tournament to 19 years.
The No. 8 Stanford men’s golf team shot a combined 15-over-par 365 in Tuesday’s third round, falling one place to fifth in the team standings. Sophomore Patrick Rodgers, the second highest ranked golfer in the conference, failed to break par for the second consecutive day and is now sitting alone at 10th in the individual race.

Hey all,
Yesterday was even quieter than Tuesday for our program here at home. The morning distance crew practice was comprised of Will, Garrett, Thomas, Luke and myself. Starting from the track around 7:20 a.m., we headed out going west on Campus Drive towards the hospital, eventually connecting with Junipero Serra and then onto Alpine Road.
