Looking to refresh your wardrobe but don’t want to break the bank? Try these five affordable stores close to campus.

1. Stanford Free Store<\p><\_><\p>Union Underground

Despite running odd hours, this store provides everything you could possibly want: a convenient location right on campus, free clothing and stylish clothes donated by Stanford students. Come try some on or donate your own.

Under Old Union, take the elevator by Axe and Palm. Open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. FREE.

2. Savers

Savers is a thrift shop done right: you can find an array of stylish Hawaiian shirts, hip knit sweaters or brand-name jeans. Prices are low, and treasures from performance jackets to designer heels litter the store.

875 Main St, Redwood City. Open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. $1-20 (for clothing)

3. Goodwill

Goodwill follows the same business plan as Savers: quality used clothing for a low price. Can’t find what you’re looking for in Palo Alto? Try the Menlo Park location at 711 Santa Cruz Avenue.

4085 El Camino Way, Palo Alto. Open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. $1-20

4. Bargain Box

Bargain Box has a lot of books and furniture, but don’t let that stop you from going inside. Yelp users rave about the incredibly cheap treasures they’ve found, including 25-cent Fendi shades and a $10 Ralph Lauren interview jacket. Feel great shopping here, as all proceeds directly benefit the Children’s Health Council.

341 California Drive, Palo Alto. Open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. $1-80

5. The Shop

This consignment store is a great place to get discounted prices on the hottest designer digs from “J.Crew, Armani, Ann Taylor, Ralph Lauren and Escada,” one Yelp user says. Prices are higher than other thrift stores, but are reasonable compared to the usual prices of these trendy labels.

785 Santa Cruz Ave, Menlo Park. Open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. $10-250
