This weekend couldn’t have been much more successful for the No. 10 Stanford baseball team, which swept the No. 20 Arizona State Sun Devils thanks to strong hitting from freshman third baseman Alex Blandino.

The No. 16 Stanford wrestling team had a disappointing weekend, dropping duals to the Utah Valley Wolverines and the Arizona State Sun Devils, two teams that have losing records in dual meets. The Cardinal (8-8, 3-2 Pac-12) lost to Utah Valley on Friday by a score of 25-10 and lost to Arizona State on Sunday by a score of 22-15. This weekend the Stanford wrestling team (8-6, 3-1 Pac-12) will wrestle in two duals, against the Utah Valley Wolverines at home on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and against the Arizona State Sun Devils in Tempe, Ariz., on Sunday at 11 a.m. The Cardinal will also wrestle in the California Collegiate Open on Saturday. But after this weekend’s heavy workload, the Cardinal will get a brief respite, as it will not wrestle again until the Pac-12 Championships on Feb. 26.
The No. 20 Stanford wrestling team dropped a close 22-14 dual to No. 13 Oregon State in Maples Pavilion on Sunday. With the win, the Beavers will now likely take the Pac-12 regular-season title
