Police Blotter: Nov. 4 -11

This report covers a selection of incidents from Nov. 4 to Nov. 10 as recorded in the Stanford University Department of Public Safety (SUDPS) bulletin.

 

Wednesday, Nov. 4:

  • Two minors were found in possession of stolen bikes at the Arrillaga Gymnasium and Weight room at 9:50 p.m.

 

Thursday, Nov. 5:

  • An unknown suspect broke into a vehicle parked outside the Stanford Stadium between 5:30 a.m. and 7:25 p.m.
  • An unknown suspect broke into a vehicle using a “scrambling” device and stole several items. The theft occurred at Maples Pavilion between 7:20 a.m. and 4:25 p.m.
  • An unknown suspect stole clothing and electronics from a room in Memorial Auditorium between 12:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m.
  • An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana at the intersection of Galvez St. and Nelson Drive at 2:55 p.m.
  • An unknown suspect punched an individual’s vehicle and ran away. The individual then followed the suspect, who then punched the individual in the face at the Santa Teresa and Panama parking lot at 8:05 p.m.

 

Friday, Nov. 6:

  • An unknown suspect broke into a vehicle using a “scrambling” device and stole a gym bag. The theft occurred in front of the Knight Management Center between 9:15 a.m. and 11:50 a.m.
  • An individual was arrested for driving under the influence at the intersection of Mayfield Ave. and Santa Ynez St. at 11 p.m.

 

Saturday, Nov. 7:

  • An unknown suspect broke into an individual’s car and stole a purse and iPad. The suspect proceeded to use the victim’s credit cards to make several purchases in San Jose. The theft occurred in front of Nixon Elementary School between 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.

 

Sunday, Nov. 8:

  • An individual was arrested for public intoxication at the intersection of Serra St. and Arguello Way at 12:45 a.m.
  • An individual was arrested for public intoxication in front of Dinkelspiel Auditorium at 3:45 a.m.
  • An individual was arrested for stealing bikes and prowling in front of Wilbur Hall at 7:25 a.m.
  • An unknown individual broke a window and stole two computers from an office in the Terman Engineering Lab between Nov. 7 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 8 at 11:45 a.m.

 

Monday, Nov. 9:

  • An unknown suspect broke the rear window of an individual’s car and stole a purse and iPhone. The suspect proceeded to use the victim’s credit cards to make purchases in Sunnyvale. The theft occurred at the intersection of Stanford Ave. and Raimundo Way between 9 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.
  • An unknown suspect graffitied an elevator and slashed a sign sticker in the basement of Tresidder Memorial Union between Nov. 7 at 9:30 a.m. and Nov. 8 at 9:30 a.m. SUDPS notes that similar incidents of vandalism have been increasing.

 

Tuesday, Nov. 10:

  • An unknown suspect stole a victim’s reportedly U-locked bike from outside of the Shriram Center between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
  • An unknown suspect stole a victim’s reportedly locked bike from outside of the Psychiatry Academic and Clinic building between 8  a.m. and 6 p.m.
  • Campus Security Authority (CSA) informed SUDPS that a female student had reported an incident of sexual assault by a male student on campus that occurred on Escondido Road between Nov. 5 and Nov. 10.

 

Wednesday, Nov. 11:

No incidents reported.

 

There were two alcohol transports reported between Nov. 4 and Nov. 11 as recorded in the Stanford University Department of Public Safety bulletin.
