Stanford earned a program-best No. 3 ranking after impressive wins against No. 8 Northwestern and No. 14 Michigan last weekend. They are now 3-0 against top-10 opponents, and 5-1 against teams in the top 20 this season.

The win against Michigan marked Stanford’s eighth straight victory in a season marked by strong defensive play and excellent capitalization of scoring chances. Junior goalie Dulcie Davies was named NorPac Defensive Player of the Week for her impressive play in net, allowing only two goals and making a total of 11 saves combined in the two weekend games.

Another player with an impressive week was junior Maddie Secco, who scored the game-winning goal against Northwestern and assisted on Stanford’s other three goals. A member of Team Canada, she now has five goals and six assists for the season. For her contributions last weekend, she was named the NorPac Offensive Player of the Week.

Stanford has already played Pacific once this season, earning the victory at home in a highly contested 3-2 victory in overtime. For this upcoming game, Stanford hopes to maintain more constant pressure and finish more when in the circle.

Pacific is led by sophomore Ali Campos, who has scored 10 goals this season, sophomore Nicole Laskosky, who has seven goals and four assists, and freshman Savannah Burns.

Today’s game in Stockton will start at 3 p.m. and will be streamed live online.
